FarmIT 3000 - Maintaining Your Flock Record
Farm IT Help - Maintaining Your Flock Record
Maintaining Your Flock Record
If you have been farming sheep for any length of time you will no doubt be happily recording your
information in an annual sheep flock record. We hope that by providing
a similar format within FarmIT 3000 you find it easy to understand and see what
is happening. You may also simply print out the sheep flock record in a similar format as your current manual form.
Initially no flock record will exist and you will be prompted to confirm opening
numbers taken from the current flock summary. This will be repeated each year,
the first time you run the program that year, the opening numbers being taken
from the closing numbers of the previous year. You can modify these figures if
incorrect but you may have to adjust the number of actual animals in the
database manually.
You can open the register in one of three ways:
1. Access via Reports
menu by
selecting Reports - Farm Official Registers - Sheep - Sheep Movement Register.
2. Access via Sheep menu by selecting Sheep - Flock - Sheep Movement
Register.
3. Simply double click on 'Sheep and Flocks' from the navigation tree.
Adding Entries
To add a new entry to the flock record click on the 'Add Entry' at the top of the
register.
This will display the main menu for adding births, movements and deaths for
untagged animals.
From this menu, all movements for an untagged flock should be entered.
