Setting up a ODBC connection

To set up a ODBC database you need to open control panel and open administrative tools

Open ODBC Data sources (32 bit) if no 32 bit version is found you will need to find it in file location, (C:\Windows\System32\odbcad32.exe) or (C:\Windows\Windows\SysWoW64\odbcad32.exe)

Now go to system DNS, then add

Then select Microsoft Access Driver as shown below, (double click it or click Finish)

First give the data source a name, then go to select and select the database that will be the data source of the farmit software. Then click ok on select a database and ok on ODBC setup this will create a ODBC to connect to.

Go to File/Data source then the box will appear on that box click the '...'

Open the machine data source tab then find the ODBC you created click ok and now the FarmIT software should pick up farm data, if not make sure that the ODBC connection is connected to the correct data source.
