Farm Dogs, Cats and Other Animals - Treatment

When you treat an dog or other domestic animal on the list you need to record this treatment.

To choose the animal that has been treated either double click its name in the tree view, open the list of dogs via the tree view or the 'Dogs' menu. Once the record for that animal is open click on the 'Medical Treatment' tab. This will list all previous treatments entered for that animal. Click on '<new>' at the bottom of the list to enter details of a new treatment.

For the treatment of multiple animals click on 'Treat Selected Animals' from the 'Dogs, Cats and Others' menu.

Choose the group of animals you are treating from the drop down list of 'Available Groups'. This will bring in a list of all animals in this group. From this list choose the animals you want to treat by selecting them in the left hand area (you can select more than one animal by holding the shift key down and clicking on each animal you want to select). Move these animals to the right hand area by clicking the appropriate arrow in the middle. The double arrows will move all animals from one area to the other.

Which ever way you choose it will bring up the following window within which you can record the details of treatment for the chosen animal(s).

Only medicines or chemicals marked in their descriptions as suitable for domestic animals will be available from the drop down list (see medicines and chemicals ). Fill in all appropriate details and click 'OK' to save this treatment. These details will then be visible in the list of medical treatments for each of the animals treated.
