TRU-Test XR5000

The XR5000 is the top of the range weigh head. It replaced the XR3000 in 2016/2017. EID compatable it can recieve and record an EID, It's main advantage over the EW7i is that it has 'Life Data'. Life data is information about the animal, for example Breed, Sex, Sire, Dam etc this may be extended by the user to include INDEX, Horns or any other animal trait (up to 100 bits of infor for each animal). The XR5000 can also control a drafter or be used for drafting, with drafting criteria based on weight, gain or any of the life data fields.

It is also 'Session' based (similar to the XR3000 File) and you can give the session a name, which is often useful. especially when downloading data.

Bad Points

Although it is fair to say it does not have many, the XR5000 is not for the faint hearted. It is an extremely flexible machine which needs a little understanding to use to its full potential. It is totally over the top if you are just weighing untagged fat lambs, but for those of you who want to record animal information and track performance it is brillient.
