Sheep Lambing Records

Sheep lambing records are part of the animals breeding records and do not form part of official records or official reports.

Lambing records include all aspects of lambing from tupping through to lambing, including Scanning, prolaspes and abortions. Lambing records are based on the ewes individual tag number (UK), tupping and scanning records may be created in bulk so you do not need to add them 1 for each animal. lambing records may be entered manually or imported or created with FarmIT Mobile (Psion workabout Pro or Andriod phone or tablet).

The Lambing Record

The lambing record is not simply a list of lamb ear tag numbers, but includes stillborn and untagged information. For example if a ewe has two stillborn lambs she still has a lambing record.

Birth Assistance

Birth assistance details any help given to the ewe and is used in analysis to identify difficult lambing problems. The options follow those used by SIGNET. You can of course add further details to the notes.
