EID Cymru Checking and Downloading Movements.

FarmIT 3000 is intended to be your movement register, however this only works if you actually do them. But there is another issue with not recording movements.,Given we create animals in order to identify breeding performance, if we do not sell or movement off farm then we end up with 1000,s of animals. This not only makes management difficult but will ultimately mean EID readers, weigh head etc will fill up with animals which are actually long gone.

So we would like you to record movements of specifically sheep, but what can we do if you fail to read the tags...or simply forget to do the movement.

Well maybe IF your in wales EID Cymru can help. You do need an EID Cymru account and tell them you are using FarmIT 3000. From the main menu select movements / list movements. The Movement Analysis view is displayed, if you are in Wales you get an IMPORT button..you need to be online of course!

Click the Import button

Check you holding number, username and password, then click the 'Get Historic Movements' button to download the movements...It may take a few seconds (minutes) but the list of movements should be returned.

The recorded column identifies if the movement already exists in your FarmIT database. If your double click the record it will create a new movement form including the sheep !

 The movement will be displayed for you to save and confirm. Any animals will then automatically have their status to update to reflect the movement.

Your FarmIT Movements will then be correct and match those on EID cymru. No excuse now for not being correct!
