Dairy Cows - Drying Off

You may dry off the cows either naturally by simply stopping milking or by treatment for example 'Dry Cow Therapy'.

Simply Dry Them Off Naturally

To dry of cows, go to the dairy menu and select “Dry Off Cows”.

Select the cows you want to dry off, and press 'OK'.

Then simply select a date and press 'OK', and the records for the selected cows will be updated

 

Drying off with a treatment - Dry Cow Therapy etc

First of all book in the delivery of the medicine or product being used for the treatment and ensure that it is approved for use on cattle.

Now select the 'Dry Off Cows - Dry Cow Therapy' from the dairy menu. Next select the cows to dry off, from the multiple animal selection screen and finally complete the treatment record, selecting the produce, qty used etc.
