Customers, Suppliers, Markets, Slaughter Houses and Farm Contacts

Whether or not you are using FarmIT3000 to do your accounts, but only use it to manage your animal movements or vet and med, you will need to enter the people who relate to movements, the supply of vet an med or the people you make invoices out to or receive bills from. The basic reason for this is that once they are entered you can simply pick them of the lists when completing the various forms for movements etc. Thus saving considerable time, and of course we can then provide reports linked to the customer or supplier. Each company therefore has a unique record card, including contact information and official numbers etc.

The Company Record

Company ID - Short Name

Within FarmIT these  contacts (both individuals and companies) are refered to as either a customer or supplier, Customers buy things from you or receive animals from you and suppliers sell you things. A customer can also be a supplier.

Company - Category

The company also has a category, for example, Farmer or Breeder, Market, Slaughter House or VET etc. This allows us to list only markets when doing movements to markets or slaughter houses when sending animals to slaughter.

Addresses and Post Codes

Each company has two addresses a main address a delivery address. The post code is entered separately for each in order for us to extract the post code if required specifically for movements etc.

Holding Numbers

Holding numbers are only important for movements, therefore we do not add company's to the list of sending or receiving holding if you have not specified a holding number. However we accept that you may not have or know the holding number, therefor a company will be added to the list even if you en 'Unknown' ( or something ) in the holding number box.#
