Backing Up to CD Rom or Tape 

Should you have a CD Rom Writer or tape backup unit you may wish to use this method of backup.

Backing up the database to CD Rom simply involves saving the database file.

C:\FarmIT 3000\Database\FarmIT3000.mdb

to your CD Rom Drive. Windows XP now has CD Rom Writing software included so all you would need would be a CD Rom Writer, these are now quite inexpensive and often fitted as standard with most modern PC's.

If you have a tape backup unit you should consult your tape backup software for details of how to create tape backups.
